Renovation of Kings Plaza Shopping Center
When Vornado Realty Trust decided to renovate their ‘diamond in-the-rough’ Kings Plaza Shopping Center in Brooklyn, New York, Five Star Electric was awarded the electrical portion of the work. The renovation of this 600,000 s. f. retail center, one of Brooklyn’s signature shopping malls, was completed on time with an aggressive two-year schedule. Five Star Electric installed 2500 new light fixtures, complete new fire alarm and public address systems and emergency back-up generators. The construction manager was J.A. Jones – GMO Construction. Dal Pos Architects provided both architectural and engineering services.
