Glen Oaks Campus Complex

The Glen Oaks Campus Complex was a fast-track, design-build two-year project. It consisted of two new five-story 130,000 s. f. intermediate schools and one new eight-story 180,000 s. f. high school, all located on a 20-acre site. Five Star Electric performed all the electrical work on this job including Con Edison Networks for a 480V incoming service and distribution throughout the site as well as all low voltage systems including fire alarm, telecommunications, fiber optics, public address, CCTV and audio-visual systems. Five Star also installed all site lighting and traffic signal work for the campus. The construction team members included: Leon D. DeMatties Construction, general contractor, John Ciardullo Associates, P.C., project architect, and D.V.L. Consulting Engineers, project engineer. The owner was the New York City School Construction Authority.
