Freedom Tower

The Freedom Tower is the centerpiece building of the new World Trade Center Complex now under construction in Lower Manhattan. Five Star Electric has been awarded the Electrical Contract for the new 105 floor, 2.6 million s.f. office tower. The firm’s scope of work for the building includes five 15 KV substations and spot networks, over one million feet of conduit, five and a half million feet of cable, 25,000 lighting fixtures, 600 panels and 1200 motors. The construction manager for the project is Tishman Construction. The owner is the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and the owner’s representative is STV Construction Inc. The architect is Skidmore Owings and Merrill and the engineer is Jaros Baum & Bolles Consulting Engineers.
