U.S. Federal Courthouse

Five Star Electric completed the electrical work for the new 15-story 700,000 s. f. United States Federal Courthouse at Cadman Plaza in downtown Brooklyn, New York. The courthouse consists of various sized courtrooms, judges chambers, holding areas, office facilities and a six-story atrium. The electrical installation included extensive conduit systems and wiring for telecommunications, audio visual systems, security, fire alarm and door controls as well as all power and lighting work. A total of approximately 15,000 light fixtures, 8000 electrical devices and 2400 fire alarm devices were installed. The construction manager was Bovis Lend Lease LMB, Inc. HLW, International, LLP provided both architectural and engineering services. The owner is the U.S. General Services Administration.
