The Five Star Electric Company is founded by Bernard Segal in Brooklyn, New York.
1971
The Five Star Electric Company is incorporated.
1980
Five Star Electric Corporation becomes signatory with Local Union #3, IBEW.
1991
Gary Segal becomes president of the firm.
1998
Five Star Electric relocates to our new corporate offices in Ozone Park, Queens.
1999
Five Star Electric acquires Ferguson Electric, expanding our workforce.
2000
Five Star Electric absorbs Stellar Electric, strengthening our Transit Division.
2005
Five Star Electric absorbs High Rise Electric, broadening our Residential Division. Five Star Electric absorbs Sunlight Electric, supplementing our School Division.
2006
Five Star Electric absorbs Kaddison Electric, increasing our bridge and highway capacity. Five Star Electric absorbs Central Electric, contributing to our public work expertise.
2007
Five Star Electric Corp. merges with WDF Inc. and Nagelbush Mechanical, Inc. to form Greenstar Company.
2008
Five Star Electric Corp. absorbs Belway Electric NYC to strengthen Interiors, Healthcare and Power Generation capabilities.
2011
On July 1, 2011, Tutor Perini acquired Five Star Electric through its parent, GreenStar Services Corp.
